How hard is it to drive a forklift?

Operating a forklift

You’ve just got a job as a forklift driver? Hurray! But then you realize: you’ve never driven a forklift before. Is it hard to do?

Pretty much the answer is, “nah”. Forklifts and cars are exactly the same…in that they both have wheels. Ok they’re actually quite different. But don’t let that deter you. Bicycles and cars are very different vehicles too, but you (probably?) can ride both just fine.

Even though it is a new experience for you, it’s one that you can get a handle on relatively quickly. For some people, they are comfortable after only a few hours. Remember: practice makes perfect. Also remember to always perform diagnostics and maintenance on your forklift, and make sure you are properly trained. With practice, you will master the art of forklift driving.
